BEST CHICAGO-STYLE PIZZA! It's pipping hot, excellently crafted, and the ingredients are super fresh. In my opinion, this is the only authentic Chicago-style pizza in Seattle. You need to order your food before you get a table but this helps it arrive sooner after you are seated. Very thick and filling pie!
Overhyped and overpriced The most drastic versions of pizza you could imagine The tavern style pizza is $20 minimum for what feels like someone made a pizza on a mission wrap from the grocery store. Thankfully the taste is actually really good but I was baffled to get a glorified tortilla thin pizza for $20. Recommend googling “Chicago tavern pizza.” I did not and I was disappointed at how much this was for what we got. Their deep dish is soooooo thick but if you like Chicago style pizza I imagine this is a good representation of it. Loved the flavors but this is just way too expensive for what you can get on the east coast.
I really wanted to like this place- we had heard great things. The pizza looks fantastic - A+ on presentation. But the taste is where is went all downhill. First cutting into this pizza was a disappointment. It isn’t deep dish - it’s actually just like focaccia bread with oddly sweet tomato sauce on top. There was hardly any cheese and the toppings were pretty minimal. The bread was also super duper soft - like a cake. And there wasn’t that satisfying crunch that you get from the outer edges. I never give bad reviews. But I paid $45 for this pizza, and I was at least expecting it to taste good - or resemble an actual deep dish pizza. I know running a restaurant in Seattle is tough right now. But I just feel like this is cutting corners a bit too much.
Fun restaurant for Chicago style pizza in Seattle. They have board games you can use while waiting fit food…games for kids if all ages. Great family spot. Pizza was huge!! Would recommend.
Great deep dish pizza. Restaurant is tip free which is awesome. Full bar. They had great Halloween decor up and were playing the mummy (Brendan Fraser!) on their screen.
