My wife and were going to order take-out from our favorite local wing-place, JAMMBAR Wings. Unfortunately, they permanently shut down so we decided to try this place. Sadly, we were not impressed. I picked up the food as it was coming out of the kitchen and brought it straight home, which is 8-10 minutes from the restaurant. I will list out what we had below and my ratings of each. Lemon pepper and Honey Garlic wings: “Well-done” wings were soggy, dry, and not crispy or even slightly warm. Honey garlic had good flavor and a few of the flats were decent, but the lemon pepper was honestly awful. Fried Shumai/Gyoza: Both soggy and barely fried or crispy. Cheese-sticks: Generic, frozen, not even warm or melted cheese inside. Spring rolls: Also not even crispy or mildy warm. Filling was lik
tasted better than expected. The lemon pepper just needed a little more seasoning, but realized was a sauce at bottom of plate. Honey garlic hot was not hot, but they were crispy and delicious paired with welldone fries. I will order again.
We’ve ordered fried rice alongside wings. For me, the fried rice is too bland and almost has no flavors. This is our first time ordering from Wings Bomb so I don’t know if this is the way the fried rice is being made or something just a bit off that day. The wings are ok. We’ve ordered hot garlic Parmesan, bbq and Thai spicy. Nothing extraordinary about the flavors. Big wings tho. We might give it a try one more time next time just to see if there’s something different or not.
to start off with, not a picky person. i actually like trying places with mixed reviews like this to give them a chance, plus the wings looked good. got there at around 8:30PM there was a few people waiting for their food, i was greeted by a women, since it was my first time she helped me by explaining the wing flavors, i decided to go with garlic honey parmesan i think it’s called, a hot honey one, i ordered 10 wings, split the flavors into two. waited not even 10 minutes inside, got my food it was all super hot and fresh, the wings were so meaty, good, like double the size of wingstop wings or maybe triple! i’d definitely come again, the fries aren’t anything crazy, pretty plain if you ask me but i think you can get the fries sauced so if you like that, it’ll add some flavor. overall goo
I moved here last summer and always pass by wing bomb but wasn't sure if I should give it a try until I posted on a PSL fb group asking for wing recommendations and a lot of people mentioned wing bomb! So I gave it a try and it was good, got a couple different wing flavors with ranch and their homemade bluecheese (which was really good!) and I got some egg rolls and crab ragoons which was also homemade. I'm excited to try more things! Nice little gem.
