Wooden Nickel Pub - Mebane

We stopped by at noon on a Saturday and sat at the bar. I thought the water in a bottle was a neat idea-you’ve already got refills. Great beer selection even some non alcoholic versions. My partner chose the fried dill pickle spears as an appetizer and they were delish! For our entree, we both ordered the classic fish and chips. I personally thought there was too much breading on the cod. Slaw and tartar sauce were on point and the fries were good. Next visit I want to try the baja-style fish tacos!

Met some new and old friends here for lunch recently and was not disappointed. The whiskey selection was good, and my friends said the beer selection was even better. We had some great drinks and food. Would recommend the wings and the burgers for sure. 10/10.

The beer selection is really good. The food is very fresh. Think farm to table. Most of what ive had are original recipes. Their burgers are top tier. The bartenders/servers are always accommodating and make you feel welcomed.

Great spot! Was in the area for a day and wanted a drink, found this place on Maps. Glad I did. Had the fried egg burger. Really good hamburger. Also a good selection of beers and liquors, lots of whiskeys, bourbons, and scotch. They give you a cold bottle of water to refill your glass with which was a nice touch. Just a way to be different. I liked it. Inside dining was a bit small but they have a covered patio that I saw and maybe more. The bartender was friendly and attentive. Well done all around. If I'm ever back in the area I would go again. Recommend you try it out.

The place was so cute. I love the bar selection. The staff was very friendly. I love the porch area that is screened in so it allows you to have some fresh air and mingle with friends and family, but also have a little bit of a street view. Amazing food unfortunately I didn’t get pictures of it, but it was great. I only gave it a four because there was quite a wait for the food, but again a great place to come by and do a little bit of shopping in the area afterwards.
