It's a tradition of my family's to always visit Xi-an Famous Foods when we come to NYC. Once again, they did not disappoint. The restaurant has lots of tables for seating and a self-serve system for ordering, picking up the food, and grabbing cutlery. The spicy cumin lamb noodles were chewy (and super long), and packed so much delicious flavour. We also tried the pork belly soup noodles, which had an unexpected vinegar-y kick to it. Both dishes were delicious and satisfying, and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting a casual, tasty Chinese meal.
I LOVE spicy food and this place hits the spot EVERY TIME! The noodles are always fresh & handmade to order - The bite to them is great & the flavor WOW! I get the Spicy Tingly Beef & Tendon In Soup; extra spicy & its an unique depth of flavors layered together that you WILL be craving them lol & at your own will you have the option to add extra chilli oil (which I do) & it never disappoints. If you're in the area & enjoy trying new dishes, Xi'an is a must try, you won't regret it ✨
Really great hand-pulled noodles here. Both the spicy cumin lamb and spicy hot oil seared noodles are excellent. We also had awesome dumplings and a spicy cumin lamb burger. You really can’t be it for Xi’an style noodles.
I was told by The Chef that he could take the hotness out of it. It is too hot for me to eat. I also was not told by the chef or the cashier that I could not get an exchange for something different. I explained to them that I am in my 60s old years and cannot handle anything hot and I’m also first time here your cook said we’re getting ready to close you will have to come back tomorrow if you need to exchange it. Use the word exchange I my original request N4. But I received N9 and paid for N9
Chinese food. Tasty noodles, huge portions, affordable pricing. I ordered N4 Stewed Pork Hand-Ripped Noodles 1257 cal. That was good. Recommend take at least a bit spicy
