The spinach dumplings are divine thanks also to the extremely tasty spicy sauce. The ‘spicy’ handcut noodles were super delicious but not very spicy (despite the request). But just pour over the dumplings’ sauce and Voilà: one sublime dish. Huge portion (the noodles).
Absolutely delicious noodles and very authentic. Got the zha jiang noodles with pork. The noodles were nice and chewy with some being soft, and the consistency was perfect; lots of juices, the meat was delicious and tender, and had great presentation. Unfortunately i couldnt finish it because its very rich but it was super good. Next time ill do mildly spicy and less oily because it was oily. Great spot!
I can tell why this place is famous! Although slightly messy to eat, these hand pulled noodles are everything! It’s awesome to see them working behind the counter. The only feedback I have is that the dish felt too oily and would hope that they would have less since I requested the “less oil” option. Overall though, super tasty, and generous!
A favorite spot with some of the best noodles in NYC. Cumin lamb noodles (N1) is a top choice and the cilantro adds nice balance. Soups are also worth trying—pork is super soft and flavorful with a rich broth. I’m overjoyed they came back to this neighborhood after closing for a few years. The legit and well-curated 90s to early 2000s hip hop playlist is still in effect which makes eating in the best choice if you can grab a table or stool. Also, the noodles don’t travel well unless in brodo.
Really decent noodles! The texture of the noodles was great and super bouncy! I recommend the beef tendon noodles; they give you quite a lot of beef and it’s really soft too. Also not really that spicy at all. If you have a medium spicy tolerance the regular spice level should be absolutely fine. Star of the show was the pork bun! There was lots of meat and it was very tender.
