went on a Wednesday for their $5 pho/boat noodle special. upon arrival we (party of 2) were greeted and sat down immediately. the waitress gave us water in these 4 small plastic cups so that if we needed refills later then we would drink the extras first. later a diff waiter came and said why did we get those small cups so he gave us full sized ones instead. lol got 2x boat noodles, raw laab, papaya & Mango smoothie. boat noodles were okay. i would go somewhere else nxt time. we were told the $5 promo means they come in small sizes but we were ok with that. even then the size was just right for us overall. raw laab was okay. the papaya (lao style) was really good & spicy though, I liked it. service was friendly.
My significant other and I went to eat right when they open at 11am. Seems quite busy already. Which of course, off the bat to my thinking a busy place means great food and service. However, no one greeted us when we entered. There were 2 couples before us, waiting already. The wait wasn’t long which was a good thing. We were seated closest to the entrance. Didn’t mind it at first until after we’re done eating, while packing my leftovers their carpet company came to remove the old door mat and replace it with a new one right next to our table. Again, thankfully, we were already done eating otherwise all the dirt and dust could have flew into our food. Would definitely recommend removing this table. We were given small plastic cups of water first from the waitress and then the owner himse
I will say, this was a noon visit on a Sunday. There were 3 in my party. I got there first so I requested a table and they sat me down and brought water. After the rest of the party came in and sat; we waited for roughly 15mins and no one came to take our order. We had to ask to have the server come take our order. There was 2 other parties in the restaurant at the time. The food was good. I ordered the xtra large pho (beef) I felt like it was smaller didn’t have much noodles. The noodles tasted like Mama noodles imo. The broth was pretty good though I’d say. We tried the cooked laab it was good as well, the spring rolls were fresh but they brought a little sauce cup for 2 orders of spring roll…disappointing. The papaya i got was Lao style and it tasted good as well. Overall I believe the
08/29/2025 (lunch); Very decent bar/restaurant. Immediately greeted and seated but getting my order completed with a server took about over ten minutes. Server was very sweet. There was only one couple in the restaurant. However, the atmosphere is nice. Remember, everyone has their own judgements, this is my own: Ordered the Pork Boat Noodle. Very fragrant but definitely your typical, aromatic and herbal, pork pho-not "boat style". I did love the flavor but it's not boat. It was extremely salty and I asked for chili vinegar but they don't have that condiment so I asked for lime, and needed at least four wedges to balance the saltiness. It did the job but it was so salty. The base broth was great, just overworked andnot sure if there's actually pork blood because it's thin. There's no tend
I have been in the restaurant industry for 10 years and I was pretty disappointed with the service and food. I don't like to compare restaurants as each try to fine tune meals in their own unique ways but considering there's Cups & Cheers, Unison, Elephant Thai, King Thai, Hmong Village, and plenty of other Hmong owned restaurants in the TC, it's pretty easy to take notes on food and services. Firstly, their dining area is very small, when we were seated we had our order taken before we received our water. We ordered chicken wings, red chicken curry, and papaya. We didn't receive the pepper that went with the wings, as shown in the photo in the menu. We had to ask for something that should be included like sauce for egg rolls and spring rolls. The papaya was decent as the papaya was soft a
