this is our go-to chinese restaurant on the island. heck, this is one of my top 3 chinese restaurants in the bay area! the food is delicious and on point with every single order. order lunch, pick up a few things at luckys, and its ready. the very best thing about xing yuan is the lightening fast dinner delivery, piping hot and absolutely delectable! try it, you will not be disappointed. :)
Tried our first takeout order and the Sizzling Rice Soup was so nourishing and delicious for my head-cold, and we also loved the chow fun which was soft and filled with veggies and a tasty sauce. The Beef and Green Beans was also tasty and the beef very thinly sliced. We will definately eat here again and it's super close to home which is a plus :)
Simple, no MSG, economical, HK style. I bought two dinners. The portions are big - more than enough for more 3 people for less than $30 total. Difficult to beat the price for the amount of food in these days. It does not have an after-eat thrust as they do not use MSG. The taste is decent enough. Nothing fancy but practical.
Food is tasty enough but uses very thin slices of chicken and little of it. There is really no atmosphere and they turned off their sign at night to save money so I couldn't find the place. It was bit frustrating. I went in at 7:45 pm on Fri, and no one was dining.
Its a small mom and pop location decently priced. I got the dinner special,Okay so the sesame chicken tastes like old oil,the flavor was not so bad but you can taste like the old oil so harder pieces. the noodles were definitely overcooked as well as the veggies in it you could tell how they looked and the texture and they also were on the Bland side Broccoli and beef was a little bit better some pretty okay flavoring the meat was tender but the broccoli was a little bit overcooked *they did accommodate me and change the order from Mongolian beef to the broccoli beef )so I definitely appreciate that they're chicken and corn soup was the best thing flavorful and nice pieces of chicken and nice piece of corn and egg their Fried Chicken potstickers were a little bit too fried/burnt for me ov
