Yaad man thing

Once upon a time this place used to be the spot!! I’m not sure what’s happening there but after my third disappointing order they deserve a review. Firstly I waited almost 3 hours for the delivery. I ordered pork and chicken. I got 2 pieces of pork bones and 3 pieces of pork skin that was charred and too burnt to be eaten. The packaging was a disgrace. By the time I got the food all the sauce was already in the bag. I’m keeping my distance. I’M DISAPPOINTED!! But I bet the owners don’t care.

Pros Overall I saw this place from a chime time review I got the Rasta Pasta which is different then regular more on the sweet side than salty or spicy. Was not bad I actually liked it! Chicken was fall off the bone and smoked very well. Cons However my ribs I was for sure disappointed although it was smoked well. I never in my life had my ribs but in squares. There should be an option on if you want them cut never thought I would have to give directions because I never had that happened. When you cut ribs into squares it dries out quicker. That’s why you keep it intact so it stay juicy wrapped around the fat. Other than that I give it a solid 4 👍🏾 But I will be coming in next time for sure!

First Review 04/03/2024 Was recommended to try the food here, so I decided to get large Ribs only for $16, large Jerk Pork only $16, 3 festivals and a chicken soup. The Ribs flavor was good, however it was really dry. The jerk pork also was properly seasoned but was too dry. The dryness from the meat could be from being overcooked or possibly being left in the oven where it is being stored to keep it warm. I went a little before 2pm on a Wednesday with high expectations but the food did not match this expectation. This is a second review. 06/06/2024 The jerk chicken was great, it was cooked properly and it was tasty and juicy. I would highly recommend it. Yaad man thing or tings lol😂. It’s labor day weekend and I wanted some Caribbean food . So I found yaad man things and it was my first time trying them . I had the jerk chicken with bbq sauce . Honestly it was decent , very flavorful and the chicken was tender . I’ll be back when I’m in the neighborhood . 👍🏾.

So today is actually not my first time coming to Yaad Man Thing. I came last month but it was super crowded and took at least 30 mins to get my food. I came today on my lunch break. The lady who took my order was nice. The two people, man and women who put my order together were nice, especially the man. I ordered jerk pork, jerk chicken, curried goat meal, festival, baked Mac and cheese and a Ginger Beer soda. Jerk chicken 5/5. It taste so good. Cooked to perfection and seasoned well. The sauce complemented the meal well and it wasn’t doused in barbecue sauce like other Jamaican restaurants like to do. Jerk pork 10/5. If you want it; get this. It’s sooo good! It is cooked well and it’s not greasy or oily like other Jamaican restaurants. It’s grilled perfectly and it has the nice bit o
