Yao Atlanta

Yao is a great spot for a quick, tasty, and affordable lunch. Their lunch specials are an awesome deal, especially with the curry options and your choice of protein—shrimp, chicken, or beef. Everything I’ve tried has been flavorful and satisfying. If you’re looking for a simple, enjoyable meal without paying the usual overpriced Dunwoody rates, I definitely recommend stopping by Yao.

Food was incredible! The crispy garlic chicken was packed with flavor. Service was great, too. They’re very attentive in refilling our water, checking in on us, and updating us on our food. The restaurant is gorgeous. This is a great spot for a special occasion or a romantic date.

The service here was amazing! We were a party of six celebrating my friends graduation and the staff was SO nice, they gave us a free dessert and round of non-alcoholic shots bc they knew our party did not drink. The food was incredible especially the appetizers and the decor was so beautiful! Excited to come back!

The atmosphere was nice, but that’s really the only positive. The food was disappointing — especially the rice — and the service was extremely poor. Our waiter never checked on us, and I had to wait just to pay for a meal I didn’t even enjoy. On top of that, they added a $7 gratuity for a party of two, which was frustrating given the lack of service. Overall, I left very disappointed. Would not recommend.
