York Daily Record

Just started a subscription for Sunday papers to be delivered. Its been 3 weeks. First week I go no delivery so I complained. Second week I got my first paper. Now I sit outside on Sunday for my 3rd time and once again no paper got delivered. Not sure who is running this place but looking at the reviews and it is clear im not the only one with this issue. EXTREMELY unreliable.

This company couldn't get an obituary correct two different days after being handed the exact info and photo. You'd be better off leading the blind to drive a racecar than have hopes this company wouldn't screw up a simple obituary. Made sure the $400 went right into their account tho.

When I say the worst possible customer service, I mean it. I have “chatted” online and told them to cancel the subscription and they said they would. The next month they pull the payment out and keep sending papers. I don’t want it. I told them to cancel. So I keep calling and calling. Automated voice mail. Select the “cancel subscription” and it IMMEDIATELY hangs up. Come on man.

Employees are NOT objective reporters, they are more akin to goose stepping humanoid snowflake robots with a bleeding heart politically correct agenda. We used to be subscribers to the York Daily Record and York Dispatch (both owned by Gannett Co.), but local & national stories were constantly being skewed with liberal quips, falsifications and opinions. We got tired of reading editorials masked as news stories so we did not renew our subscriptions. Newspaper owners across the country have decried the death of newspapers, but they caused their own business deaths with sloppy, politically prejudiced writings.

I purchased an advertising package with the York Daily Record last year and they never completed the agreement. I am still waiting for my certificate for best of York category. I spoke to them about this but they have not rectified the issue and so I have not paid the bill. I cannot get in touch with the office as the number they give online online hangs up on you eventually. I would like to receive what I was promised and then pay my bill. for this they get a one star. once this is rectified I will change the rating depending on how well they handle the situation moving forward.
