Yu Fish 鱼悦酸菜鱼

We ordered the sauerkraut fish and the portion size was huge. It was more than enough for two people, and we still had a lot of leftovers to take home. The flavor was really good--savory, tangy, and comforting without being overwhelming. We also tried the quail eggs, which were battered and fried. They were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and honestly super tasty. Perfect little bite-sized snacks. Overall, great portions, solid flavors, and definitely worth it if you're hungry or want leftovers for later. Would come back again!

Absolutely delicious! The sauerkraut fish had a perfectly balanced tangy and savory broth—rich, comforting, and not overly oily. The fish was incredibly fresh and tender, with generous portions and just the right amount of spice. The beef was another highlight: thinly sliced, super tender, and soaked up the soup beautifully. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients, from the crunchy vegetables to the fragrant garlic and sesame. Great presentation, warm atmosphere, and very satisfying portions. This place truly delivers comfort food at its best. Will definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone who loves authentic, flavorful Chinese cuisine!

Finally, an authentic sauerkraut fish spot in LA that really delivers. ✔️ The signature Old Jar Sauerkraut Fish is amazing – tender boneless black fish slices in a rich broth made with pork bone stock. It’s flavorful without being overly spicy, and the soup is so good I ended up pouring it over rice. Absolutely addictive! 🍲🍚 ✔️ The fried tofu skin skewers were a total surprise – crispy, light, and instantly reminded me of street food back in China. ✔️ The fried durian balls are a must for durian lovers – crunchy on the outside, creamy and fragrant inside. ✔️ The handmade milk-skin yogurt was smooth, refreshing, and the perfect way to cool down after the meal. ✔️ Even the sweet fried sticks with sugar powder were a fun

It’s one of our favorite dinner place now!!! We ordered the signature sauerkraut soup with fish and sichuan spicy soup with beef today, they are all amazingly incredible! The fish cooked with chicken broth which is the first time we ever experience versus so many sauerkraut fish we had ever visited, it’s super uniquely delicious! The beef inherited the way of Hibiscus Tree cooked if anyone ever missed that place. The milk skin yogurt is incredible too, nothing that we had before. It’s worth to come visit and we definitely will come back again and again!

Delicious lunch here for two, love the signature sauerkraut soup with fish, we chose the black fish fillet option, and you can choose two free base (veg/noodle). it also includes one rice. My fav small bite is the golden lava tofu, highly recommend it!
