This LA Spot for Spicy Seafood Beef Soup Knife-Cut Noodles 🍜—I’ve Been Eating Here for 7 Years When you’re wondering what to eat for lunch that’s both comforting and appetite-opening 🤤, a hot bowl of soup 🍲 or soup noodles is always the answer. This time we visited their Rowland Heights location, and the moment you walk in, it feels really comfortable. The space is clean and bright, seating is spacious, and the lighting is soft—it’s the kind of place where you can sit down, relax, and enjoy your meal. This brand has over 140 locations in Korea 🇰🇷, and they’re known for their rich yet not greasy beef broth. After finishing a bowl, you genuinely feel warmed from the inside out. Even when you order just a bowl of noodles, they still serve three side dishes, which is such a thoughtful touch
I’ve heard about Yuk Dae Jang for a while and always thought I had to go to K-Town for it, so I was happy to see they opened one in Rowland Heights. Finally stopped by, and it turned out to be a really solid experience. We ordered the Beef Short Rib Stew, and the portion size was honestly impressive. One big pot easily feeds 3–4 people. The ribs were tender and came right off the bone, and the veggies and noodles soaked up all the flavor as we kept eating. It’s the kind of dish that just gets better the longer it sits. Big plus for the service too — the staff came over to help cut and debone the ribs for us, which made everything way easier. Small thing, but definitely appreciated. We also tried the Ox Leg Bone Soup with blood sausage. Even though it’s a clear broth, it still had a lot
A fantastic Korean spot in Rowland Heights! I came in with low expectations and left totally impressed. The Tteokgalbi (collab with a Michelin-starred chef) is a must—juicy, charred beef patty that’s so satisfying. The Budae Jjigae was rich and cheesy, with ramen that soaked up all the amazing broth. The dumpling + soondae combo was also great, especially the kimchi dumplings. For four people, it was about $100 per person, and we were stuffed. This isn’t a flashy Instagram spot—it’s the kind of warm, delicious Korean food you’ll crave again and again. Highly recommend!
It’s really hard to find pork belly in the U.S. without any unpleasant smell, but Yuk Dae Jang never disappoints. Their steamed pork belly is no gaminess at all, tender, rich but not greasy, and naturally sweet. The new Rowland Heights location is spacious, bright, and much more comfortable than the old small shop. We also tried the beef rib stew and pollock roe soup, both looked simple but tasted surprisingly deep and flavorful. Great spot for both group meals and solo dining if you’re craving authentic Korean comfort food.
A Korean restaurant in Rowland Heights worth visiting again and again! Yukdaejang is a chain with over 140 locations in South Korea, and we came to this one in Rowland Heights today. This huge pot of soup instantly warmed my heart. Unlimited side dishes A Korean staple, you get 5 complimentary side dishes when you walk in. They’re refreshing and cut through the richness, and you can get free refills. Army Stew When it arrives, the pot is packed with ingredients—it’s incredibly impressive! Spam, soft tofu, and cheese rice cakes are all soaked in a sweet and spicy broth. The Shin Ramyeon added at the end is coated in melted cheese, and one bite is simply divine. General’s Beef Short Rib Stew Meat lovers, don’t miss this! The thick-cut beef short ribs are stewed until tender and flavorful,
