Zax Restaurant

Nice restaurant. They have a bar section, restaurant section and outdoor seating. The bar was pretty quiet on a Saturday afternoon with Olympic Hockey on most of the TV screens. They had a good selection of beers on tap. I especially enjoyed an IPA in a large 25oz mug. 🍺 We were here for a pizza and went with a custom basil, olive and anchovy Large. It was delicious, really liked the crust which was both crunchy and chewy ! This was a good size for two. Expect friendly staff and good service.

We had Zax cater my sister’s autumn-themed bachelorette dinner in Moab, and it was absolutely perfect! They went above and beyond — even creating custom dishes that weren’t on their menu just to fit our theme. Every bite was incredible, and our entire group of 17 ladies couldn’t stop talking about how good the food was. Sapphire, their manager, was amazing to work with — so kind, flexible, and communicative through the whole planning process. Everything arrived exactly as planned, beautifully presented, and tasted phenomenal. We’re so thankful to Zax for helping make this night so special! Highly, highly recommend them for any private dinner or event in Moab.

I was a little worried after reading some of the reviews to come here, but I’m so glad that I did. The blackened burger was absolutely fantastic, and the Zax cookie was unique and super good. The fries were also super good and crispy too. All of it came out super fast, and my server was attentive to my needs. Priced are a little steep compared to some nearby restaurants, but besides that I would definitely recommend Zax!

We ordered the BLT on sourdough, a cheese burger and the pasta and meatballs. The meatballs are the worst meal I have had in a while. The plate arrived cold to my table. The meatballs were under seasoned. The sauce of the pasta was more of like a tomato paste from a can. The flavor was bitter and bland. I was really disappointed with the experience. The restaurant environment is cute and nice. Staff was constantly late and clumsy. Overall, it all comes down to food and the food overall was not worth it. Oh! The garlic nuts are yummy! I guess not everything could be bad.

I really wanted to like this place. I tried the Hot Honey Chicken Pizza, because it sounded delicious. But it became a chore to eat because of how plain it tasted. The service was amazing, and the vibe was super chill, but I just felt kind of disappointed afterwards.
