Zen Vegetarian

Zen Vegetarian is always a pleasure to visit in the Flatbush area for vegetarians and non-vegetarians. Exceptional service. Delicious food. The lunch special is a fantastic deal. I highly recommend the sesame chicken, general tsos, and vegan cheesecake.

i know God is real b/c They let me live around the corner from this place. this place is such a staple in my life, being vegan and on a budget. it says vegetarian (they’re Buddhist) but there’s no dairy or eggs, so it’s fully vegan. prices are super affordable and they have a wide array of options (i only wish they had a bit more cause i go there so often!) don’t sleep on the curry rolls. BUT!!! what makes this place SO GREAT is Yannee/Yen, the cashier - she is SUCH a star ⭐️ a sweet and spicy diva. she makes everyone smile and laugh, it’s impossible to be in a bad mood around her. she lifts our day even from a 30 second phone call! long live Yen 💛 Jai Zen 🪷

I am surprised and pleased that this business is still alive and thriving after all of these years! I used to eat here between 2013 to 2015! I moved away from New York but man I could go for some of that mango chicken with that steamed rice right about now! 😔

Menu is all vegetarian. Seems to be mostly vegan; not sure which items might not be vegan. I got the lunch special General Tsos Chicken. It’s white rice with soy chicken chunks with couple of broccoli. Came with a spring roll. Overall a decent price for the food. Wasn’t able to eat it all, granted I drank a lot water due to the weather. Place is close to prospect park so you can do a after meal walk

Everyone in our group felt the experience was worth repeating. The prices won't break your budget. Their menu tastes great and deserves your time. The culinary offerings and staff attention were notable. They handle every aspect professionally.
