Customer Reviews
This is a review from a first timer. I've heard many good things about this local chain, and I was looking forward to trying a few items, especially the famous chili. Some of my family members have been to Zippy's before, and they enjoy coming here when on vacation. We had a big family lunch party, so we ordered a bunch of items. I got to try the Chili Moco, a bowl of chili (with beans), and my main order was the Saimin. After trying the chili with both beans and no beans, I prefer the no-bean chili. The saimin was delicious, but average. If you're in the mood for soup or noodles, this would satisfy. The lilikoi drink was also refreshing and sweet. For dessert, we shared two popular items, the Haupia Cake and Chocolate Pudding. Both were very satisfying and ended the meal perfectly. The
Zippy’s is a Hawai’i favorite among locals and visitors. Their menu has all the classic favorites like zip pac and chicken Katsu. The have a dine in area as well as a take out counter. The bakery items are also really good and made fresh. The prices are reasonable and is very clean!
The spaghetti and garlic bread was average, but the Korean fried chicken was quite delicious. It was busy, so the food took about 25 minutes to be served.
Everything you would expect from a local diner. Friendly staff, delicious food, and generous portions. We had the mini loco moco, chili rice, saimen, and salmon katsu. Nobody could finish their food. Sadly, we had no room left for their famous desserts.
Chili moco is the way to go! Ube ensaymada was perfect to share for dessert. Typical Zippy’s. Orange bang drink was good, too!
