A gathering with project colleagues. The cooking method was fairly authentic, but the spiciness was only at the Cantonese level. Fish Fillet with Hot Chili Sauce水煮魚片: As expected of their signature dish! The basa fish fillets were incredibly tender, the Sichuan peppercorns were fragrant but not numbing, and the overall flavor was oily but not greasy. The server would remove the chilies after serving, so there was no need to worry about the spiciness. Beef Fillets & Cabbage with Hot Chili Sauce水煮牛肉: Redder and spicier than the boiled fish. The Sichuan people present commented that this was the only dish with flavor. The beef was very tender; although you could taste the tenderizing powder, it wasn't a big problem. Visited with two friends and ordered a variety of dishes, from Dan Dan noodles, scallion pancakes, pork dumplings, Kung pao chicken, and spicy lamb. Everything was absolutely delicious. All the dishes were cooked to perfection and with great care. Service was very attentive and helpful as well. Highly recommended. UPDATE: I have been here two times after my first review and everything still stands. Food and service is amazing, highly recommend.

Came here on Christmas night and boy was I impressed! I went with my girlfriend and we loved it. As you can imagine the place was poppin and take out orders were flying out the door. The staff handled the high traffic with ease. The inside was simple and clean and the food was yummy. We got amazing scallion pancakes, sesame chicken, beef and broccoli, and chicken fried rice. Great food and great service! Yummy local spot for anyone living in the Somerville area!

We were on our way back to our hotel from Porter Square and decided to eat before going inside for the evening. We found Zoe’s on Google and it felt like such a gift. It’s in a mostly residential area; however we did find parking after circling. I wasn’t familiar with the area (in the dark) and I was hungry :) so there may have been easier options. The food was absolutely scrumptious, fresh tasting and abundant. The spinach was so good, I ate the leftover with my breakfast the next day. Everything we ordered was tasty. The customer care was top tier. We felt extra special. I definitely highly recommend and intend to revisit. Thanks so much.

In search of an authentic Chinese dining experience that sidesteps the usual hustle and bustle of Boston's Chinatown, my friends and I recently took a visit to Zoe's on a Friday evening.
