1872 Denham Inn

This was a very beautiful Bed and Breakfast, and Pat was a wonderful host. The room was very nice and comfortable. being a history buff we were very grateful for a tour of the house and it was amazing. The breakfast was really good with some real homemade treats. The area was nice a quite and very secure. I would recommend this house to anyone who want to enjoy a good southern stay. Thanks for a wonderful week end Pat, we had and great time.

This is a great bed and breakfast. I will definitely go here again on my next trip that way. The owner is really nice and so is the rest of the staff as well. Rooms are very comfortable and quiet. The breakfast is really good as well. The price is very reasonable as well. There are quite a few restaurants in the area as well to have lunch and dinner.

We arrived quite late from New Orleans and our check instructions were waiting for us - we headed straight out for dinner. We got back to check out our room further - Layla on the ground floor - and it was lovely. Brownies were still out for us, plus snacks - none of which we needed as we had eaten. We asked Pat if we could breakfast at 8 so we could have a prompt start and she confirmed that would be fine. Our room was lovely - the bed was enormous and comfy and had to be reached via steps! The bathroom was well appointed and the taps/faucets are unusual but that is part of the charm and the character. It was so quiet, although at 6.30 am, we could hear people in the room next door. My husband and I had a meeting in Monticello. We went a few days earlier and stayed at the Denham House Bed and Breakfast in the Gold room. It was so lovely and quiet and very romantic. Our bed was very comfortable and the room clean. I like the old claw footed bath tub and took several lavender Epson salts soaks. The owner has kept everything as much as possible to the 1800’s decor. I was tickled to have a small fridge with ice and water in our room. The house is a few blocks from downtown which made a nice stroll to town. The downstair parlor was so cute. We spent time sitting on the front porch enjoying the weather in wicker rockers. I was especially eager to spend a night in this old Victorian mansion because I had lived in a small house behind it when I was 2-to-4 years old (a long time ago!), and I still have some memories of the place. I thoroughly enjoyed it! Pat Inmon, who owns it and runs it, has done a wonderful job restoring the old mansion to its former beauty. The rooms are well-appointed with modern conveniences, while retaining their 19th century feel and warmth. The bed was comfortable, the ensuite bathroom was fine (the toilet paper was high-end, the shower was modern). The breakfast was delicious, prepared by Pat herself. (And of course I over-ate. Couldn't help it.) Will definitely stay here again when I'm in Monticello.
