249 Eatery

We have used 249 Eatery for the last 3 years for our company's Christmas Luncheon. They have been a delight to work with. I have been able to give them a basic idea of the type of menu we were looking for and they suggested a menu that fit what we needed perfectly. The food was delicious at both events and people were coming back for more. It has been wonderful to work with a company that is local AND easy to work with. Eduardo, Jennifer, and Nicholas are 249 Eatery. Their catering is beyond top-notch. Eduardo is an Executive Chef, Jennifer keeps it all running, and Nicholas picks up all the slack not covered by mom and dad. Their food is wonderful; all prepared, seasoned, and served expertly. They were chosen to cater our community Holiday get-together this past December. It was well attended and many rave comments heard, especially concerning the Prime Rib and the Couscous or Quinoa -- I forgot which. They are prompt and a well oiled machine when it comes to food. I can vouch for their incredible Bar B Q, a specialty of Eduardo. I also enjoy their chicken finger tacos -- they are outstanding. I really wanted to rate this place well. I have had their breakfast at the New Kent Farmers market a few years ago. I wasn't crazy about it. The potatoes were not done. Last weekend I decided to try their Gyro. The meat was pre-made processed frozen that they just "heat up". It made me sick. My husband ordered fries, but their fries were gel like inside. Almost as if there were friend too hot too quickly. My husbands bologna burger was supposed to be fried hard. It was not. Just not a good bang for your buck here. I am sorry, but the food is just not good. Everyone was friendly. Took about 8 mins.

249 Eatery catered our community holiday party. The food was outstanding - especially the prime roast beef. The risotto was outstanding.

We were very happy with the food. The couple there run the place is delightful. The bowls are fantastic with a ton of flavor. The prices are great . Definitely one of our favorites.
