Ammons' Drive Inn & Dairy Bar

Ammons' is a classic curb service diner with a twist! They serve delicious Southern food like BBQ, corn dogs and veggie plates! This visit I had a veggie plate that was lip smackin' good and my guest had a corn dog! Simple, tasty, friendly! I'll take it any day-- and on a day with good weather I'll take it curbside!

The variety of food this restaurant offers is remarkable. I tried the super cheese burger with okra, fries, baked beans, and a chili slaw dog. Everything was very good. I'll be back soon for sure.

I was interested in going here because it looked like a classic kind of place. We had to run to the bank to get some cash, because they do not take cards, but it was no issue. We were able to sit wherever we wanted, and the service was quick and fast, although a little inattentive. My boyfriend got the all-you-can-eat salad, and I got a plain hot dog, a pimento cheeseburger with lettuce, and a regular side of french fries. I thought that the prices were very reasonable for the food, and the salad bar was affordable and had a good variety while being clean. I really enjoyed my experience here. The food was delicious, and I would love to try more of their menu.

This is a very popular place. The waitress was very polite and attentive.But, the meals are suitable to fill your empty spot and I generally walk away with a nice case of indigestion. If you just want some good greasy grub, this is the place to go.

Each day had a different lunch special. We had turkey&dressing, cranberry cup, bread, and many choices to choose for your 2 sides for $11+. DELICIOUS! We also ordered a hamburger and slice of pecan pie too go for later. Price was excellent and was very filling. Can't wait to go back and try other items from the menu! Great home cooking!
