Bean & Bean Fort Lee

I love supporting small scale coffee roasters who emphasize sustainable sourcing and also delicious coffee! Their beans are really wonderful and fresh but super expensive. I understand coffee supply chains, but I have never seen coffee in nyc and surrounding areas at their price points. They must be very special. I have tried their Ethiopian and Kenyan beans. Both really lovely and nuanced in flavor. Their pat bingsu is yummy, too. A good size portion and it has gelato on the bottom which isn’t traditional but it does add a nice creaminess to it.

Bean & Bean in Fort Lee is a great spot for coffee lovers. The espresso is excellent rich and flavorful. The baristas are incredibly friendly, and the store is spotless, creating a pleasant atmosphere. However, one downside is that dogs are allowed inside. During my visit, a lady came in with her dog, and unfortunately, the dog disrupted our meeting with my partner, which was quite frustrating. While the coffee and service are fantastic, the pet-friendly policy might not be ideal for everyone, especially during quiet meetings or work sessions.

My sister and brother in law love their coffee and buys their coffee beans all the time. I walked over to grab a 5lb bag for them while they were dining nearby. The cafe is very spacious but was empty when I went in around 5:30pm. It looked like a good place to work if needed. Only downfall is that this cafe is not pet friendly and has a sign outside that says “no pets”, but they do have tables and chairs outside. I was able to bring my dog in since I wasn’t dining inside and only there to buy an item (and the staffs didn’t mind). They did up their price for their 5lb coffee beans (used to be around $95 or so and now it’s $124), and have switched from using the Downtown Blend to Rio Nights. Would like to check out their locations in manhattan to try some of the drinks.

Their service and cappuccino are inconsistent. Really depends on a barista. Some baristas are fantastic and some just can not get it right. Wish I can have the schedule of their good barista so I know when to go in.

Kind and professional staff. Great choices of beverages. Clean and spacious interior AND outdoor seating! Everything you wish for a coffee shop!
