Bittersweet Bakery & Cafe

This was a great find. They still had some delicious pastries around noon on a Friday. The staff here were very friendly and professional. There is plenty of parking right outside. I really enjoyed the chocolate cookie sandwich with vanilla filling. I am looking forward to going back again soon!

Went for the lunch menu as we are not big breakfast people and asked for a Turkey BLT as seen on their menu (bacon, lettuce, tomato); they did let my wife know it was not lettuce but today they had spinach. My wife relayed the message to me and we decided that was totally fine. We got the order to go and once we opened it realized there was also no tomato. Overall the sandwich was still good, and the employees were nice; however, I wish I was informed (same as the spinach/lettuce) that they did not have tomato when I ordered. I am assuming they ran out, which honestly isn’t a bad thing in the restaurant world, but wished they would have informed us with our initial order.

I went in today for an early lunch (since we are not big on breakfast) and asked for the Turkey BLT that I saw on their menu (part of the reason we chose to stop there). They informed me the “greens” were spinach today and not lettuce; after talking with my husband we decided not an issue at all and went ahead with the order. Once received we realized there were also no tomatoes; our guess is they ran out, but unlike letting me know about the lettuce/spinach I wasn’t made aware they had no tomatoes (honestly it would have been fine but it felt weird they didn’t mention it and in the restaurant world, running out isn’t a bad thing). Overall the sandwich tasted fine but not what we were expecting with what was ordered.

Apple cider donuts was moist and delicious and the coffee was tasty and hot. Service was friendly by owner. However, the café could use a little more decor, something warmer, cozier to make you want to sit and stay.

Amazing Breakfast Sandwiches! Many different options on the menu to create an awesome sandwich. Desserts looked yummy! Coffee was fresh and Staff was friendly.
