Bloomsburg Public Library

Fantastic and vibrant local library for this historic PA town. It has all the resources and access expected from a public library but the staff give extra effort to organize relevant and earnest events. If you’re in the area for the haunted library, check it out!

Very nice libary with a good selection. They also have good staff.

Kind and respectful people here. The upstairs is completely devoted to young children. My kids absolutely love coming here. There are even planned events hosted here at the same time every week and they are customized for specific age groups, but open to children of all ages.

AMMON YOUNG is our fabulous new library director! In the short time since his hire (Dec 2024), he has eliminated fees and implemented a library cross borrowing feature. I’m now reading a book from the Columbia Traveling Library I’ve been wanting to read for months. But the best thing he has brought is the warmth and caring feeling emanating from the library.. leaving it open on snowy days for those looking for a warm place to read.

It's a joy to have a library within a couple blocks from my apartment. The library has a lot of activities year round. Historical society holds meetings there which are open to the public. The offer Movie nights and have a large collection of DVDs that are available to borrow. They offer the use of hot spots where you can access the internet for a few dollars a week. Reading programs for children and so much more. It's a great addition to the town.
