Blue Ridge Pig

Great simple takeout or set at the picnic tables for good BBQ. Service is from the window and was quick. I had the brisket which they had on Saturday. I got bake beets and potato salad. The brisket was very good and lots of it. I got four nice slices. The back beans were a little over cooked but I liked them. The potato salad was good and unique. It was a lite dill potato salad. Now I am not big on dill but I enjoyed it. My partner got the pulled pork Mack & cheese and the bake beans. He said he enjoyed it. It was a lot of food. Had the left overs for dinner. They also sold Pup Cups which had scrap Turkey and Chicken. Our Doxins lover the pup cups!

When it comes to barbecue and Mexican food there seems to be an inverse relationship to how good the place looks on the outside to how good the food tastes on the inside. Blue Ridge pig is a prime example . What was probably an old car wash has been creatively repurposed into a standup barbecue joint with some pretty creative venue items. We were directed to try the turkey croissant sandwich as they are quintessential menu item, as well as as their traditional pork sandwich. The turkey sandwich did not disappoint . It was a unique blend of flavors that really stood out as something different though the pork sandwich was not unique. It was still solid and we were very pleased with it. If you’re driving by, I need a bite to eat don’t be afraid to stop in!

Holy smokes... literally! The Blue Ridge Pig: smoky meats that are tender, packed with flavor, and clearly made with pride from passed down, family recipes. The portions are generous, the sauces are outstanding, and the atmosphere is welcoming. Paired with its absolutely incredible outside eating area, this is 100% the spot if you want to enjoy authentic barbecue done right. P.S The Green Potato Salad is incredible, and the handsome young man who smokes everything is wonderful.

Going with five stars on the BBQ pork sandwich with a side of slaw! Delicious. Pork BBQ was spot on flavor, and the slaw is a new favorite of mine well balanced with maybe some apple for sweetness. I'm not sure what's all in it, but it is good and goes hand in hand with the BBQ sandwich. Friendly folk at the counter and plenty of seating in good ole roadside BBQ fashion. I'm going back to try a few more things on the menu. If you're in them parts, definitely give em a try!

The bbq chicken was okay but very bland. The Mac and cheese was also bland. The potato salad is a crime against humanity.
