Chestnut Inn

We've had the pleasure of enjoying a wonderful 3 day stay here in October this year and will be in our way back for a second escape from Ajax for the holidays. The Chestnut Inn was a great and lucky discovery given all the confusing clutter of options in Niagara Falls and a perfect choice for us in comparison to any of our previous accommodations in the area over the years.||It has an elegant, classic, cozy and relaxing atmosphere with well appointed rooms and a shared kitchen right outside our door, which was great. Particularly enjoyable was the unique extra bed in its own cozy space with its own arch window (where one of us fell asleep a couple of times!). Hospitality at the Chestnut Inn was incredible - you felt welcomed upon entry into the establishment. The breakfast was plentiful and well presented. I found there was a smoke-like smell in the hallways and stairwells. The room was well maintained, however, a few items to note: the air conditioner was loud and there were bleach markings on the sheets/pillow cases. The top sheet and fitted sheet did not match. Check out was at 10:30 so we felt a little rushed during breakfast. We enjoyed our stay at the Chestnut Inn.

The property is scenic and spacious and located only a couple mins away from the main streets of Niagara Falls. There's also a bus stop right outside the property if you buy a we go pass ($13 for 24 hours - highly recommend). As for the room itself, it was nice but it seemed like the hosts selected for some cheap options which really downgraded the feel of the room. The fireplace didn't work, no shampoo was provided, and single-ply toilet paper. In my opinion, if you want people to come back for another stay when they are already paying a significant amount, spend a few extra dollars on small things. One of the owners also smoked a lot and must smoke inside of on a balcony as the room reeked of cigarette smoke. The breakfast was good and the bed was comfy, but you might find better accommo

We loved this place. It was so cute and comfortable. We stayed in the Gray room. It had a queen and a twin bed. It was perfect for our small family of three. |My five year old loved her window nook bed. The women who owned the place and the cleaning lady were all so kind to my daughter and went out of their way for her. |Breakfast is amazing and different everyday, so it doesn’t get boring. They have a very diverse array of breakfast pastries, several kinds of fresh fruit, egg and sausage, and a different main dish every day. |Another plus is that the WeGo bus stops right at the house. It made the journey to the falls area so much nicer. No worries about expensive parking.
