Went on a Friday night, and was well worth the wait! Ordered at a kiosk, and the chef (& owner?) informed us the wait would take a while, ~45min. Despite that wait, the food was perfection. Sapporo style Japanese curry, much soupier than your typical Seattle style. Got the Pork Katsu, and it was genuinely the best I've had in all my years. Also the vegetables in the curry? All were insanely good and I don't even like half of them most the time LMAO. Will be going again, and recommend you supporting what is truly a delicious spot.
My fiancé and I love this place. If you’ve never had soup curry we would highly recommend. The soup curry here always hits the spot. So flavorful and warm. Spice level is adjustable. Can be a little spicier than expected so would recommend going a few stars down from what you consider your normal but it’s totally. Pork katsu is fried to perfection on top of fluffy rice. The eggplant and broccoli inside the soup curry is a favorite. Staff is always friendly and smiling. Make sure to close the door behind you when you enter as it can sometimes stay ajar and is an inconvenience for staff to have to remind people. Don’t think, just go.
This soup curry is absolutely delicious—this is real Sapporo-style soup curry! It’s exactly how soup curry from Sapporo, Hokkaido should be. I never imagined I’d be able to enjoy authentic soup curry here in Seattle, so I’m truly happy this restaurant exists. The curry is rich with fragrant spices, the chicken is incredibly tender, and the vegetables are beautifully roasted. It’s a truly outstanding bowl of soup curry. I can’t wait to visit again!
Great addition to the Japanese curry scene in Seattle. The soup curry has good depth and the beef chunks were very tender and flavorful. The peppers are pretty spicy but there’s a very wide range of spice levels you can pick from.
Here’s a polished, natural Google-review version: I love curry—like many Japanese people—and this place hits the spot. They offer both Japanese soup curry and Japanese-style spice curry, which are bit different from Indian or Thai curry. The meats are always tender, and the big chunks of vegetables are such a treat. You can choose your spice level for both types of curry. I tried level 6 (out of 10) for the soup curry, and I totally could go higher level. For the spice curry (like the beef brisket vindaloo), level 3 out of 5 already brings good heat. When I want spicy curry, I would go for spice curry than soup curry. I really enjoy their side menu items like the pickled onions and pickled chicken. They offer both dine-in and takeout. It’s self-service place. This is definitely going to
