We hadn't visited Golden Chick in awhile so my wife and I dropped in. She had the shrimp combo and loved it. I continued with the seafood theme and ordered the 2 piece catfish combo but was surprised at how tiny the portions were. I guess I was expecting a little more for $10.99 but all I got was the "little" part. Even tiny it still tasted good, though.
First time we've eaten at Holden Chick on a while. Disappointed that there wasn't any gravy and only 6 corn nuggets. Also disappointed that there wasn't any Coke ... only Pepsi. However, we enjoyed the soft served ice cream with our meal. The restrooms were clean as was the eating area.
The food was fresh and very good. The people were incredibly nice. This place was spotless and the young lady was cleaning inside and out the entire time I was there. Top notch.
This was our first visit to the Golden Chick and we were impressed. The chicken strips were tender, it came with a fresh roll and a lot of choices for sides, not just the usual french fries. The food was hot and they give you a lot for your money. And to top it all off, there is free ice cream with every meal. We will definitely be back.
Love this place. There chicken is good but the rolls and sides they offer are worth it over kfc to me.My wife and I look forward to going at least once a week for there chicken strips and of course there rolls see you soon
