Helen's Donuts & Ice Cream

The best donut holes ever ever ever. They’re fluffy, melt in your mouth, crispy but soft. We got them slightly warm. Thin but flavorful glaze. Not too sweet. Came for donuts left with three dozen holes. The twist maple bar was also super delicious. Super soft and fluffy on the inside. With a slight crispness on the outside. The maple glaze was sweet with good flavor and super smooth. We also got an Italian soda which was yummy and had lots of cream which I like making it creamy and delicious.

A very large variety of Great donuts. The ice cream was also noticeably better than most. The man and women behind the counter welcomed us in as we stepped trough the entrance. the atmosphere is just generally down to earth and pleasant. As we were leaving, another man walked through the door and was greeted with "how's your mother". Really seems like a good place to take the family for a treat. It was also very affordable.

This was my first time visiting this shop. It is located in a quaint plaza on the corner of the plaza. Inside, you will be surprised with donuts, ice cream, and chips, and I believe I read smoothies! I was greeted upon entry by what was a shy gentleman. Upon looking over their selection of various donuts, a female employee came in and was very pleasant during my visit. I ordered half a dozen mixed variety. To include original glaze, twister, raspberry filled, and chocolate glaze. I would say that the original glaze was my favorite as it was very light and fresh.

I tried Helen’s for the first time today and their donuts are incredible!! They are light and fluffy and melt in your mouth. They aren’t overly sweet. They have fun flavors like a banana fritter that was so delicious!! This place is AMAZING!!!

Plain and simple, best donut shop in Tacoma,and more then just donuts, ice cream, specialty sandwichs, espresso drinks and more. Husband and Wife owners, best customer service and very friendly atmosphere, you feel welcome as soon as you walk in, been coming here for over 15 years and will continue coming.
