Historic Scanlan House B & B

The Scanlan House was an incredible delight. We went there for our minimoon just to get away after the chaos of getting married, and it really was the perfect place to relax and recharge. Every room in the house was full of charm, and we loved the room that we stayed in (the Masquerade Suite) which had a comfortable bed, relaxing whirlpool bathtub, and access to a small balcony. The owners were incredibly kind, and the breakfast was beyond amazing. We can't wait to come back again!

As a fellow bed and breakfast owner, I can’t help but admire what you’ve created at Historic Scanlan House. Your lovely 1889 Queen Anne Victorian home with its elegant stained glass, original woodwork, and beautifully maintained garden offers a charming, peaceful escape. Truly a warm and memorable place to stay in Lanesboro.

Not good at reviews, however this place was exactly what we were seeking. First entering the doors you are welcomed with two amazing of the times sitting rooms. We were then greeted by Mary who was an intriguing host who was warm, knowledgeable, classy and friendly. Her recommendations for the season were spot on for the vibe my wife and I wanted. We had the Victorian room which is as the name speaks. Most relaxing we have had in a long time. Yes they have the modern amenities in the room and the music selection from the sitting rooms were spot on.

I quite house in a nice mature neighborhood. Easy walk to the downtown. The house is decorated for the era it was built, 1889 I believe they said. The breakfast was done so anyone would like it. Our room was next to the stair case and we didn’t hear a single person going up or down. No shower in the room but there was a tub. They made sure we were aware of this several times as I booked

Beautiful bed and breakfast. Exactly what we needed for our adventure. We stayed in the safari room so the private parking and entrance was great for hauling our gear in and out. Great location, food and service. We will definitely be back. Also, we ended up getting engaged in the safari room, so that was awesome too!
