Island Grill Bronx Modern Caribbean Kitchen

This place is excellent! The food is flavorful and freshly made. I got the goat soup, jerk chicken with jerk fried rice, oxtail with white rice and vegetables. Everything tasted great, the vegetables could be better but nothing terrible. The place is clean and the staff are friendly, which was nice. Their prices are reasonable. Definitely going back to try other menu items.

Superb spot. Sampled their curry goat, which was great. And ordered the large plate of oxtail with rice and vegetables. Amazingly tender, the sauce itself was extremely delicious. One word...wow. come, check it out, and thank me later!

Ordered oxtails with rice and peas and veggies and of course gravy, for myself and jerked chicken with Mac and cheese and veggies for my friend. Found this gem on Google, and noticed they didn’t have a listing on Yelp so I created one! The 2 women servicing customer were friendly and inviting with smiles. The establishment was clean and had a nice A rating on the window. Will definitely order again!

Island Grill was amazing. The food was fresh, flavorful, and honestly just hit the spot. The vibe was super warm and welcoming too. But the real highlight was Lad. Hands‑down the best server there. He was friendly, attentive, and just made everything feel easy. He made the whole experience even better. Definitely coming back, and definitely asking for Lad.

This is my fourth time ordering from Island Grill and i had to finally give a review. Its hard finding good Caribbean/Jamaican food in the bronx but this spot is the one!!!! The oxtails over rasta pasta was absolutely amazing!!! The oxtails are so flavorful and tender. The rasta pasta was so delicious i could have eaten the pasta on its own. Pasta was creamy and rich with so much flavor.Food so good i wanted to personally meet the chef and shake their hand! Dont walk..RUN and get yourself a plate of food and i promise you wont regret it
