I wish I had something better to say about this place but the service was terrible. I don’t know if the person behind the counter was just having a bad day but they treated me like an inconvenience. I purchased a dozen assorted donuts which looked beautiful however the filed ones were either not filled all the way or not filled at all. Unfortunately, the donuts we tried didn’t taste very good (odd for a donut). I have two teenage boys and they threw away the dozen we bought. I’ve never been disappointed by a donut shop before…I recommend trying some place else.

Hands down the best donut shop in the Black Hills! Jerry’s Cakes and Donuts consistently delivers the most delicious donuts, pastries, and cookies in the area. Craving a cinnamon roll? They’ve got it. Apple turnover? Check. Chocolate chip cookies? Absolutely—and they’re incredible. And the variety of donuts? Too many to list—you’ll want one of everything! Just a heads-up: they’re closed two days a week so their amazing staff can get a well-deserved break. But any other day, they’re ready to welcome you with something sweet and freshly made. Don’t miss it!

They have a great selection of donuts and various pastries, we arrived at 6:30am Sunday morning so everything was available, the house favorite is the apple fritter so that’s what I chose, and it was still slightly warm! Best apple fritter I’ve had, light, crispy shell and cooked all the way thru!! We were just passing through town, if not we’d be here every week!

The customer service was terrible. We told them it was our first time there and needed a minute since we had three kids. The employee, the guy with the long hair, dropped my husband’s caramel roll on the counter, set it aside, and later put it back on the tray and picked something off it with his bare fingers. He also rushed us to move the line while our kids were still deciding. We like to support local businesses, but this experience was disappointing. The donuts were just okay, and the apple fritter had no apples. Customer service and quality of donuts would have been better at a grocery store or Walmart.

Great costumer service, even at the break of dawn! Was able to order and pay over the phone for a quick pick up. They had everything ready. The doughnuts are nice and fluffy. Will always be my number one pick.
