Had a fantastic Valentines day dinner here. It was not overcrowded, we were not rushed, and the food and service were absolutely amazing. Run by true Italians who know how to make real food, and who actually provide customer service, unlike so many other restaurants in Richmond. It is on the pricier side, but we'll worth it for special occasions. We will be going back for sure!

La Grotta Ristorante in Richmond is a perfect date night spot. My wife and I went recently, and everything from start to finish delivered. The atmosphere is warm and romantic without feeling stuffy, making it easy to relax and enjoy the evening. The service was attentive and welcoming, and the food was excellent. I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo and it was rich, creamy, and full of flavor—comforting but still elevated. We finished with the tiramisu for dessert, and it was really good, the perfect sweet ending to the meal. Between the food, the vibe, and the service, La Grotta checks all the boxes. Definitely a spot we’ll be coming back to.

My wife tasked me with finding an upscale restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary, one that focused on fine dining, had luxurious decor, and a "nicer than your khakis" dress code. Nailed it! La Grotta offered everything she was looking for and helped us create an unforgettable evening. From the moment we stepped inside, the ambiance was enchanting, and our waiter was truly a gentleman. He attentively catered to our every need and answered all our questions about the menu. He even encouraged me to try frog's legs, which I was initially hesitant about. Now, I can confidently say that it was the best place to try them for the first time. Without a doubt, this is one of the best restaurants for celebrating special occasions with that extra special someone, and I couldn't recommend it

“La Grotta: The Closest I’ve Ever Come to Being Adopted by an Italian Family.” La Grotta Ristorante in downtown Richmond is the kind of place where you sit down expecting a nice dinner and suddenly find yourself whispering, “This is what love tastes like.” The pasta? Silky. The sauces? Divine. The service? So warm I started checking Zillow for apartments in the building. But let’s skip straight to the star of the show: 👉 THE DESSERT TRIO. If you leave La Grotta without ordering it, I’m convinced the staff should be legally allowed to chase you down Cary Street and kindly escort you back inside. It’s that serious. One bite of the tiramisu and I forgot my own birthday. The panna cotta made me question every life decision that led me to not order two of them. The cheesecake? I briefly levi

We dined here last night for a date night, and everything about this experience was excellent. First, let me start with the outstanding service! Enzo was charming, funny, patient, and knew the menu like the back of his hand. Such a great conversationalist and you can tell that he loves what he does. We had the five course meal and everything was absolute perfect from appetizer to the desserts. We were so full from the appetizer, pasta, and salad that by the time my entree came I was so full. Couldn’t stop eating though because everything was so good. The plating from the chef was beautiful, and everything complemented each other so well. Food came out piping hot (which how often do you dine out at places and the food is hot?? Not often!!). My favorites were the oysters (they were on speci
