MABELS - On the Lake | Clarksville, VA

Dropped a hundred bucks here, and it barely fed 3 people. Service is counter-based, with what looked like just one person juggling orders and cooking. The 'Pick 2' baskets? More like half of each basket. Burgers were priced between $11+ and $17+, each—and that’s with one side, though most sides were out of stock. When asked, they kept blaming it on the 'off-season.' The food? Average at best. Definitely not worth the price. I won’t be back, and I can’t recommend it. Save your money. P.S. Clean your fan blades

Mabel’s is an adorable spot serving burgers and shakes off Virginia Avenue that’s open every day. Parking: free, off-street parking right out front and nearby. There’s also a parking lot across the street. Bathrooms: One single room bathroom is available to customers. It was clean and everything worked when I used it. Space: lots of table seating indoors. Food: I only tried a shake today. I got a classic chocolate shake with peanut butter added, it was thick, rich and had great taste. They gave me a standard plastic straw, but I think a wider milkshake straw would make it a much better experience to enjoy. I ended up scooping the milkshake out with my straw. Service: The staff working was courteous and my order was accurate. It took about 7 minutes to make my shake.

Over expensive food, had a messed up order, on top of that some food was even cold. I really wanted to love this place and be a go to spot. But with the experience I sadly cannot say I recommend this place. We ordered two hot dogs and fries for one order, the hot dogs came out not what we ordered, they were able to give us the toppings for us to add on that was missing, but the hot dogs were not cooked all the way through with it being cold on the inside. We also got a Ruben that was okay nothing special. We also got an ice cream sundae that was probably most okay thing with what we ordered. We got that and two drinks total was $64. If you go here just be mindful about this place.

Absolutely nothing short of amazing! Fast, unique, delicious! Burgers are definitely all beef and hand made. The shakes are incredible. Everyone was so friendly! I was super impressed with how quick and organized everything was on opening day. What a great addition to Clarksville & all of South Central VA - Biggs Island, Kerr Resevoir and Mecklenburg Co are so lucky to have this great choice!

Found this place on Google and decided to try on a whim. Easy to get to and there is lots of street parking in Clarksville. My daughter's and I came for the interesting dessert but ended up eating lunch as well. The Patty melt and the Pioneer were on point.. a lot bigger than I was prepared for. We ended up trying two sundaes Oreo and Cookie Dough. Everything was very good, but the reason for only 4star was because they were out of a lot ingredients for the desserts. Can't wait to come back just for a milkshake or the wafflecone nachos!
