Millbrook Cafe

We drove 45 minutes to dine specifically at the Millbrook Cafe and I have to say, the food (Chef Alex) and service (thank you Julian and John) did not disappoint. It was absolutely brilliant. I had the Sole with Shrimp and Scallops, my wife had the NY Strip and she was in heaven and lastly our friend had the Rack of lamb which was perfection. We loved meeting Dominika and learning about the history. We can’t wait to be back and we will. Julie

When purchasing a take out order tonight of over $170, and leaving a $20. cash tip, you would expect a nice meal at home. When 4 items didn't make it in the bag, I called the owner. The best she offered was a $50 credit to our next meal, even though the 4 items missing exceeded $50. Never going there again. Buyer beware.

Incredible. Everything is cooked in a brick oven, and chef Alex is an artisan. Dominika is gracious, delightful, and impeccable, and the entire family makes you feel wonderfully at home. I checked some of the one-star reviewers here, and do you know what I found? Chronic 1-star reviewers who have horrific 1-star experiences everywhere they go. Do you know why? Because they themselves ARE the horror element in every interaction. :) The food is sensational, and it's thoughtfully and meticulously prepared. The ambiance is warm, intimate, cozy, and upscale. Favorites include the shrimp cocktail, French onion soup, grilled shrimp caesar salad, puff pastry, steak, and casserole. A++

Update: it's been 2 years since my original review. Tonight had the ribeye special. It's was delicious. The drinks are still very good and the service is excellent. Been here quite a few times for dinner. The staff and owners are very polite and friendly. Food is always excellent. The duck is my favorite. Drinks are good as well. I would recommend making a reservation because it is on the smaller side so it fills up quick.

I’ve been coming here for many years and the food is always impeccable! I’ve never had a bad meal nor ever had bad service. All the food is cooked in an open fireplace and adds the perfect flavor to everything, including steak, seafood and all the sides! This is family run and I’ve sent many people here over the years and have always been warmly thanked for the recommendation! A must try when your in Millbrook
