Miramar Beach

My husband lived close to here and would visit to decompress and he shared this spot with me. I stopped by today and it’s now one of my favorites. There is practically no one around most times and it’s open to the public. Parking is limited but free and accessible. There’s also two swing sets for kids and babies and a couple of benches to picnic.

Miramar Beach is beautiful, clean, peaceful, so relaxing and has some of the most gorgeous sunrises and sunsets! It is small with limited parking and has a small play area for kids. It’s 100% worth the tranquility it offers! Closes at Dusk

I can never tell if this is private or not, but if you can be respectful that you are practically in someone’s back yard it’s a great space to decompress and chill for a sec.

Quaint little Beach for the local inhabitants. It is not a public beach so it isn't as spacious or accessible to larger crowds. Additionally, the water isn't as clean as the water on a beach so I wouldn't recommend swimming too far in it. As a quiet space for a walk on the beach or a place to think, this place receives a thumbs up.

Some nice views from the dock. However, this is not a great place for young children. The sand is littered with cigarette butts and broken glass. Many bottles have been broken on the metal posts that support the swings. My young son likes to play in the sand and it would be like letting him play in an ashtray that you scattered broken glass in. If they could clean this place up, sift the sand etc. It could be a nice little park. We will not be visiting this place again. Honestly, if you bring your children please be careful allowing them to touch/play in the sand. I'd also recommend keeping them out of the water. They could end up with a bad infection.
