Moore Memorial Library

This is a very special library! When I go in , I can not stop my mouth saying :”wow ! Wow! Wow!” ! It’s really amazing! It is very old style but very clean and beautiful. It looks like a museum rather than a library. The librarians are very nice and talk to us, telling the histories of this library. It is a great stop when we go from Boston to Cornell University. It’s a peaceful town and there is an excellent historical library.

This isn't my local library, but we visited for the 2023 4CLS Road Trip. Beautiful historical building, tons of intricate details. The staff is super friendly; one of the librarians gave us a wonderful tour, complete with souvenirs and fun facts. They love what they do and it shows. Looking forward to coming back to check out the museum upstairs one of these days. I have a soft spot for my local library (Ogden in Walton), but other than that, this may be my favorite 4CLS library!

We parked in front of the town clerk office. There was a ramp on the side of the library for our stroller. The librarian, J, was awesome. In addition to being superb with the kids, she's very knowledgeable with lots of local stories and the history of the town. The library has some cool programs including the visit of the snake man!!! The restroom is spacious and clean. A perfect place to be in the summer!

Best library in town. Kidding aside, I am so glad our small village has a library and that the town supports it.
