Newsome's Restaurant

Prob 3.5 stars deserved. This small out of the way place is worth visiting. Has eat in and take out meals. The food was good and we have no complaints. We will be back to try other things!

I have been a weekend Northern Necker for over 20 years and Newsomes has been serving great diner food for longer than that offering great prices, quality food and clean comfort. It also now has a new Northern Neck Ultimate Food challenge featuring 5 pounds of food! I ordered a small sweet potato fries and it barely fit on the plate! Desserts are also abundant here with a handcrafted selection of pies as well as some items like ice cream nachos and made-to-order shakes. OK, so I really liked the place! I would go as far as to say the 2 hour drive from I-95 would still be worth the trip!

Been here twice now. Both times I've enjoyed my meal and the service. Fast and tasty! For those into extreme eating, Newsome's Restaurant has a challenge called "The Farm."

Edit: I originally started frequenting Newsome's a number of years ago. And I'm glad to report they're still going strong, I always make a point to stop by and make a visit. I LOVE Newsomes's, best place to get a bite to eat around. It's a family owned restaurant that's been delivering great food for years. Coca-Cola themed dining area, quick service and delicious food. Low-carb options are available. As well as catering for special events with decorative fruit carving options. They also have a fun food challenge called "The Farm". Think you can tackle a 5lb burger, full basket of cheese fries and a 32oz shake? Make your attempt at the wall of fame!

Excellent food and service! We used them recently for a surprise 90th birthday party for my grandma who lives in Reedville, VA. We ordered the finger-foods package and they did not disappoint. There was something for everyone from little kids to seniors. We enjoyed the most delicious chicken salad sandwiches (my favorite), other finger sandwiches, crab balls, twice baked potatoes(mmmmmmm), chicken and veggie skewers, chicken nuggets, deviled eggs, fresh cut fruit and vegetables and more. SO yummy! The portions were generous and we had plenty of left overs to enjoy for the rest of the week. Thanks to all the good folks at Newsomes for doing the hard work for us. You really helped us to make this party happen!
