Very cute friendly library. Small enough for toddlers. Puzzles and games, books for little ones. Outdoor area with sidewalk chalk, hopscotch.
We love the “makerspace” they put alot of work into making it special for the kids! They also have stringed instrument lessons on certain saturdays! We love it.
Very nice library with lots of local resources. Staff are helpful, comfortable spaces to read and relax. Alternatively, let your brain feast on the latest news and happenings. Great setting along streams with walking paths to the museum. Check it out! Highly recommend.
McDowell County needs to update this webpage so that the community knows when its beloved library will re-open after the flood of Hurricane Helene, which was the end of Sept. 2024.
