Paul's Döner Spot

It's good for a quick stop, try it. Paul is super friendly, easy going, and receptive. First thing I tried was loaded Spring Rolls, it's a good snack. I had some grilled chicken, it's cooked well and tasted good. Some other review points out the generic doner, and yes at the moment it is, but to be honest it was good to my taste. It's not Arkan but it's far from horrible. I'm not the king of Canada expecting only the finest foods sourced from the finest places on Earth at every tiny restaurant. It's a Filipino startup not a 30 year experiance Doner Kebab. Try the Loukomades it's awesome (although it's icecream on hot churros type pasteries for take-out, so you got about 5 minutes to park and eat it 🤣 but it's excellent.) Went in to try this out. Obviously, since they are at the old Arkan's spot, I am comparing their Doner Box to Arkan's Doner Box. Staff was very friendly, nice and very polite. Where it goes downhill is the food unfortunately... Doner meat is store bought and heated on hot plate. There is not a lot of meat either. Sauce tastes like it is also store bought and not homemade. Rice is plain Jasmin Rice with no spices or flavour. Rice was also lukewarm Essentially, it is a meal that I could easily make at home for very cheap. I wish they'd get the original doner of Arkan's (on a spike) as well as their rice recipe and garlic sauce recipe. Absolutely loved this little take-out–only doner spot! The food was fresh, flavourful, and packed with generous portions. The meat was perfectly seasoned, the veggies were crisp, and the sauces brought everything together so well. Even though it’s take-out only, the service was incredibly friendly and fast. You can tell they care about the quality of what they serve. If you’re craving a delicious, satisfying doner, this place is definitely worth the stop. I’ll be ordering again for sure!

This little shop is easily found in the heart of Edmundston. There is street parking available but you should expect a short walk to get to Paul's Doner Spot. This is a pickup only type restaurant. The menu is pretty limited. You'll find mostly wraps and fried foods. The order counter area was clean but small. I've had a few items on their menu. I liked the loaded Spring Rolls but nothing else stands out. Their doner beef is generic. The same that can be found at any grocery store. Other places in town offer a far better doner wrap. Expect to pay about $20+ per person for a meal here and you won't be satisfied. During my last visit I had the Loaded Spring Rolls and the Doner Poutine. Was there yesterday on their first day, and i don't know where to start, this place is amazing! The food is delicious, service was faster than i expected, the prices are really cheap, and the portions are more than generous. Definitely going back today!
