Petaluma Regional Library

The library remodel is absolutely gorgeous. They have a space for teens, children and several study rooms you can rent by the hour. I spent a couple hours working here today and it was perfect, I'll be back.

The remodel looks beautiful, and I’m really happy that the library is open again, but I had an uncomfortable experience today with staff. I was working on a puzzle at one of the high tables with my kid (eventually he moved on and I kept working on it for a bit longer) when I was told that the area was the "Teen" section (no signage) and I needed to move. While I wasn’t the only adult around, the comments were directed at me, and the staff member had an “get out” attitude. What really bothers me is that, during the time I was there, many other adults were browsing and sitting without any issue. Libraries are supposed to be welcoming spaces for everyone, and today, I was just trying to enjoy some quiet time with my kid. It’s disappointing to feel singled out when I was being respectful of t

This is the sweetest little library, we love going to various libraries all over and this one had the best little park right out in front of it. They were experiencing construction of their main building at the time so they were in the little mini section of their property. Sorry we had to put our hotspot into the over night book drop we had an emergency in the family and had to leave and didn't want to accidentally take it with us as we knew we would be gone longer then 21 days. Thank you for having our families back as my son has severe autism and not having internet is like a matter of national security.

I love libraries. All the Sonoma County libraries are nice. The PA system here is a little hard to understand, perhaps the speaker spoke too loudly.
