Pleasant Road Beach

The beach is small, but I absolutely loved it. Parking is $20, but we walked from where we stayed. The water was super warm, compared to other beaches on the East Coast that I've been to. No dogs allowed :(. Lifeguards were on duty until 4. During low tide this is a great place for kids, as it is very calm and shallow. Not a lot of waves.

We visited three beaches with our kids (ages 2 to 7) while in Cape Cod in August 2016. We liked Pleasant Road Beach a lot and came back a second time. PROS 1. There is indoor plumbing, plus hand soap and paper towels. 2. There's an outdoor shower for body and feet. 3. The ice cream truck visits. 4. The beach is the right size for kids. Room to walk, but not huge. 5. The water was clear and warm on the first day (although less so the second time, perhaps because of rain overnight (?). 6. We arrived at 10am and were one of the first vehicles to get parking, which was $20 for the day. On our second visit, there was no attendant and parking was free. 7. Small little private beach but because it was off season we were allowed to go on. We just walked a little bit on the beach and found some pretty sea shells. The B & B we stay at is within walking distance and the owners suggested it to us.
