Pure Country Smokin' Barbecue Restaraunt

Our first time here and it won't be the last. First off the atmosphere is adorable and fun. It feels like you're going to a backyard bbq. (Cause this place is someone's backyard). The moment we parked people waved at us and welcomed us in. We walk into the establishment and was greeted like we were family. They have many great combo selections and great prices. They give a good amount of food. It might not look like a lot to some but wow we were stuffed after we finished. The bbq is subtle and not filled with all these crazy spices and sugars like other places. The meat tender and juicy. The ribs do not fall off the bone but are still very succulent and tender. This was our first visit to Pure Country Smokin' BBQ, and I'm already planning our next visit. The owners are very welcoming and it is clear that they love serving good food and taking care of their guests. The brisket is fork tender and so good it doesn't need sauce, but the sauce is perfectly sweet, as is the tea. The stewed green beans, Mac and Cheese, and Peach/Strawberry Cobbler are all worth a try you will not be disappointed!

Super family run Business, you have be on time to get your BBQs , I like their Duck plate (which actually a chicken plate 😂) so read the details before ordering, their ribs are good, I don’t eat Beef but heard from all my colleagues that its really nice, There are no many restaurants around this area so fill good to see a BBQ here, also watch for their timing, they are only open at the end of the week Friday to Sunday with limited time, they are bit slow to deliver the food so make sure you have at least an hr to spend here. In winter you can not seat outside and they have good indoor seating capacity but because they are famous getting seat is little difficult. The only thing I will ask is to deliver the food quickly, so people will get their food fast and more people can eat. But overall

There's a reason this place had a crowd for the nearly 2 hours that I was there. Went there on a Sunday for lunch and had to find a seat. Found a seat next to some people and we had a nice conversation while we enjoyed their food. The food was absolutely outstanding. The BBQ was flavorful and tender. The green beans were delicious too. 100% recommend this place.

Made the trip south of San Antonio to try the bbq. The driveway and parking lot is dirt. It’s a small building with a good amount of tables with additional outdoor seating in a very country decorated backyard. People were nice and had a chance to interact with Eugene who gave me some insight about their place. I can see people hanging out here. The bbq did have good flavor but the day I went (Thursday afternoon) the meat were all dry. Got the three meat plate for $26 with brisket, pork ribs and jalapeño cheddar cheese sausage. Brisket was cut thick, which is uncommon compared to many places. Had to use bbq sauce to wet it a bit. Otherwise portion is great for the $$ and was able to still enjoy it.
