Richie's Huli

Richie got it down on brining the huli huli chicken. A generous size of half a chicken comes out so moist each and every time you get it! Menu expanded with waygu burger, fried Korean chicken and fried noodles. You'll get hooked before you know it!

Do not leave the island without stopping here at least once.. or 6 times in my case, with the first chicken not even making it out of the parking lot! Richie is the man and everything we had was incredible.

Chicken was tasty and tender. The ribs were tasty pork, the thick bones had more grissle than meat and zero smokey BBQ flavor. More like they were boiled then thrown on the grill briefly. Just my opinion. I would not order the ribs again.

This is just a food truck so there isn't anywhere really to eat your food! But you should definitely stop by and grab a plate to go. There are only two options most of the time, half chicken or ribs. I got the chicken and it was fantastic! And a ton of food for under 20$. The ribs looked really good as well. It was super fast, just walk up and order and its ready once they get the plate together. If you like meat, I 10/10 recommend.

I took this photo halfway through eating, some components have been devoured. All I need to say is, LOCAL FOOD & food truck comforts. Burgers with local bakery buns, Kiawe smoked wood ribs and Hulu style chicken! Look for their specials like this Garlic shrimp. The only spot on the east side, let alone Kaua’i, that got this BBQ down. The owner is on the grill, so the quality is masterful; sets them apart from any chain bbq spot on island. They do an amazing breakfast on Sunday, highly recommend the Loco Moco
