Sleeping Giant Grill

Amazing food and very quick service. This is definitely a place to have lunch or dinner in this part of the island. The menu is very diverse and suits all preferences. We had a seat ouside and ordered six dishes which totaled $126. We tried tacos, wrap and plates with chicken and ahi fish. Everything was fresh and delicious. A lot of free parking space as well. Highly recommend, the wait was only 4 or 5 minutes.

Super speedy, delicious, had variety and satisfied every dietary need (especially vegans and vegetarians), affordable for island pricing! Very nice people and highly recommend! I got the adult tempeh bowl with no cheese and had the vegan cilantro sauce, devoured quickly! 11/10!

We're staying at the Aston Islander on the Beach and thought we'd hop next door to try the Sleeping Giant for dinner. Price wise, it seemed like one of the more reasonably priced places around, and also has some good reviews. My daughter and I both got the grilled fish plate for $25.99 to go. I was very excited to have some mahi-mahi. I was very disappointed. The fish was so overcooked as to be mostly inedible. I could not chew it enough to swallow it. At least my husband's chicken tacos were okay. Will not be visiting again.

Sleeping Giant Grill - plate lunch so delicious, it will have you coming back for more! I looked up places with the best plate lunch before we arrived to Kauai and Sleeping Giant Grill seemed to be very well rated and highly recommended. The restaurant is on the smaller side and tucked away in a smaller stripe mall behind the Coconut Marketplace. There is limited outdoor seating, and also a larger indoor seating area found at the back of the restaurant. My husband ordered the Teriyaki Chicken and I got the Habanero Chicken - both ordered with the mac salad and rice. The portions were fairly large, although I would have loved even more mac salad because I love to have all components of the plate in every bite and ran out of mac salad quickly. The food is amazing. Don't let the 2 tacos fool you, they are massive and pack a ton of flavor. The Mahi fish plate was delicious and cooked perfectly. The ahi tacos, raw, were spectacular and very shasharableA must when youare in Kauai.
