This new hidden gem in the heart of Riverdale was a lovely night out! Felt like you were transported somewhere. The atmosphere was elegant and fun, with kind and helpful staff. The food all tasted incredible - for mezze highly recommended the Kofta meatballs, spicy feta (pictured) and the Burek (go for the spinach and cheese — the pastry was so buttery and delicious!). End it with a plate of baklava and your heart and belly will be happy :)

I recently had the pleasure of designing an upscale floral centerpiece for Sawa mediterranean cuisine, and I was truly impressed by the breathtaking decor. The elegant Mediterranean theme, combined with a charming speakeasy vibe, creates a unique and inviting dining experience. This is exactly what folks look for when they want to dine: beauty, delicious food, an elegant atmosphere, and great music. The thoughtful details, from the lighting to the color palette, sparked my creativity and inspired me to craft a beautiful arrangement. I highly recommend this place and look forward to hearing about everyone's experiences!

I had a great experience at Sawa Mediterranean Cuisine. The food is delicious and you can really taste the authentic Mediterranean flavors. The service is excellent and the staff are very friendly and attentive. On weekends they also have music, which creates a very nice and lively atmosphere. It’s a perfect place to relax, enjoy good food, and spend time with friends or family. I definitely recommend Sawa if you’re looking for a great Mediterranean restaurant with good vibes and great service.

Exceptional new addition to the stagnant Riverdale dining scene, they’re in their infancy but this place is going to be spectacular. Welcome to the neighborhood guys and best of luck.

What 💯 an absolute pleasure it was to visit here . The food was made to perfection 🤌. From the atmosphere of this place while being so enchanting i felt entering would be an experience. It definitely delivered 👏. The decor is right out of a romance novel. Lovely. I was so pleased with service too . The owner was so courteous to us . This Speakeasy actually transformed me to a different time . Giving the customer good food and drink 🍸 while giving quality service 👌. The dining 🍽 experience has been resurrected in Riverdale. Service with a smile and a thank you for coming. Like thee old days. BRAVO 👏 . My new spot as a go to . Stop for a drink, or bite , dessert. Whatever. I just felt better..just being there.
