It's great! I was craving some soondubu and this was the first place I thought of. Have came here many times. Staff is very accommodating and friendly, food is good and you can refill the banchan you like. Only thing is there is not much seafood in the soondubu. Lots of tofu, but a lack of seafood (like a couple small clams, a mussel... and that's pretty much it) I've had their seafood pancakes before and they were very delicious too. Usually come here for bbq galbi (which tastes great) but was craving something a hearty and warm meal
Since moving from Philly to NC, I've been looking for a proper Korean restaurant that matches the food quality, flavor and atmosphere. I'm glad I decided to check this place out on a whim. The staff seated me right away, treated me with dignity and made me feel welcome. This is a great family spot and a nice peaceful respite for grabbing authentic Korean food. The food was FRESH and PLENTIFUL. It was also flavorful. I ordered the galbi at first, but it's not available on Saturday for lunch. So instead I went with the beef bulgogi bowl recommended by the waiter, after I told them I wanted something beefy. I plan to come back and become a regular.
Ate on a Friday night, restaurant was about 1/4 full. Ordered beef dolsot bibimbap, and friend got medium spice soondubu (forgot which protein). Banchan (macaroni salad, bean sprouts, kimchi, radish, fish cake, & 1 other dish I didn't try) arrived at the same time as the mains. Unfortunately the bibimbap had no flavor. No salt, no garlic, etc. so had to ask for table salt. The spicy sauce was sweet with a tiny kick (definitely not gochujang or sriracha). The soy sauce (what I was told...?) was also sweet with a vinegar taste so not sure what that sauce actually was. Did not try friend's soondubu but they reported that it tasted a bit bland and watered down. I like that the presentation and ingredients are fairly authentic to Korean food, so maybe tonight is just a once-off poor night f
This restaurant has one of the best GALBI i have had in these Korean BBQ restaurants. The Banchon was really good. Sundubu was excellent. If im in Raleigh area again I will drop in for another visit.
The food here was absolutely amazing! And the service was really great too. Hubby and I have never tried a place like this before and the staff was super friendly and super helpful in explaining everything to us. And the serving size was massive! We ordered the food that was pictured here and the menu said it was a meal for 2 but in reality it could've fed 4 (at least in my opinion it could). And it was SPECTACULAR! If we ever go back to Raleigh we're definitely eating here again!
