Shelby's Dae-ly Cafe

Good food and friendly staff. Came to Comfort, TX for my mom's birthday and stopped here for lunch based on the good reviews and photos. (I was looking at this place the night before in anticipation.) I got the club sandwich with chips and my mom got the half sandwich/half soup - tuna salad and corn chowder. She said the corn chowder was really good and she liked the tuna salad. My mom isn't the biggest fan of sourdough, but she said the sourdough bread from here was excellent. We got some baked goods to-go and my mom informed me that the pumpkin muffin is delicious. We'll definitely stop here again next time we're in Comfort, TX.

This little cafe is a must go to! As soon as you walk in the door you’re greeted by smiling faces, and a bright welcoming atmosphere. I ordered the Reuben sandwich and it was amazing! Prices are more than reasonable for the quality, size and freshness of the food. The sandwich was on fresh made sourdough, what more could you ask for?? Don’t forget the fresh baked cookies for dessert for later! Will definitely be back to try the monte cristo as I heard a few customers there saying it was one of the best they’ve had.

The cafe is the best place!!! We have gone twice now and the food is delicious, fresh and local!! Not to mention the homemade sourdough bread that I can have even with my gluten intolerance!!! I have had both salads and the lemon poppy seed dressing is chefs kiss, on the strawberry salad, but the Cobb was to die for. My kids devoured the monte cristo sandwich and went as far as licking the raspberry jam straight from the ramekin. Shelby and her husband are the absolute best people and it’s truly a family establishment with the cutest little kids corner. Don’t miss out on this gem of a place!!

Love this place! You can really tell Shelby puts her heart into everything she makes. The sourdough items are to die for so delicious and clearly made with love. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend! Fresh CLEAN food is so excellent. We had the Club and the Banana Muffins and the Juices. The club was so generous with the meat, the bread is sourdough yummy, the juices are all organic and excellent and so well priced, the muffin so great not full of sugar and literally fill you up for a long time. And the place is gorgeous and quaint with plenty of seating in and out with shade and beauty. The owner is right there hands on. Service is great it connects to a beautiful store full of beautiful affordable items as well as high end items so you can browse while you wait! Please visit and keep this biz booming cuz it is what I have been looking for all my life and have never found it. For real!
