Ate here for breakfast and was very happy that this local diner served fantastic breakfasts. They have a couple of unique omelets and I had the Cubano with was delicious and just the right spicy. My wife enjoyed her egg white omelet and my son loved his huge blueberry pancakes. If you’re looking for a good diner for breakfast then this restaurant is the place.
Edit: And once again, my order was wrong. My eggs were overcooked (over hard instead of over easy) and I received country gravy instead of the sausage gravy I asked for. At least my toast wasn't burnt. At this point, my order has an issue almost every single time. Think I'll stick to Eggs Up Grill moving forward. Original: I've ordered from Shorty's a number of times, and every time I do, there is a problem with my order. I love the food, which is why I continue to order. When it's right, it's so good. But I constantly have missing items, burnt/overcooked food (my toast is rock hard), inconsistent portions (my corned beef with my hangover meal today was soooo small. I order this all the time, I've never received such a small portion before) and our chipped beef was all gravy and no beef (
First timer....Great customer service..... Great experience. I give them 4 out of 5 stars because the fries were overcooked and over salted, I didn't get enough meat in the Philly cheesesteak, and the cinnamon bun was overcooked. It was as if they rushed the cooking process which left the cinnamon bun burnt on the top and sides, very dry, and gave it an unpleasant taste. I did not picture it as if want to give them another try! 😁 After all of that, why not give them 3....well because the food was still good and Grace was very pleasant, friendly, and gave us great customer service! Shorty's is worth the try.
Middle of the road diner built around a 1950s theme. Don't expect adventuresome meals here. You have a few meatless selections if you work at it. If you're okay with eggs, waffles, or pancakes, you can order until 2:00 p.m. Plenty of parking in the strip mall shopping mall and easy access if you use a chair or walker. Staff is super friendly and attentive to your needs without being intrusive. Clean, with an outdoor patio.
Stopped in for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Gives ya a good greasy diner kind-of vibe. Looks like the owner might have been a college athlete and has some connections. There were a lot of pictures in the lobby of him meeting people. Service was a little slow but very friendly. Took about 10 minutes for me to get sat, even though there weren't many people inside. The food was good. My burger was really tasty, as were the fries. Looks like they are a breakfast all day place, although they close around 2pm. I will definitely come back to try their breakfast.
