Customer Reviews
Skål Beer Hall This place is one of Ballard’s true gems. Skål feels like stepping into a modern Viking mead hall warm, communal, a little rustic, and completely welcoming. The Nordic influence is everywhere, from the food to the drinks to the overall atmosphere, and it just works. We shared the rabbit Viking feast, which was hearty, generous, and meant to be enjoyed slowly and together. Big flavors, beautifully presented, and the kind of meal that feels like an event rather than just dinner. It pairs perfectly with their excellent selection of beers and meads. Sadly, they were out of their amazing meatballs — always a standout and definitely missed, but everything else more than delivered. And the staff continues to be a highlight: friendly, attentive, and genuinely happy to have you th
Solid spot. Great atmosphere and vibe. Definitely recommend the mead tasting to try various options. Food wise, the split pea soup wasn't bad but lacked a bit of flavor. The grilled Halloumi was decent, the spiced applesauce it came with helped with the dryness. Basket of fries were probably the best dish. Spiced really well. The curry ketchup and lemon aioli were great compliments.
Perfect place for a celebration! We had a birthday dinner with 20+ people and we couldn’t have been happier with how SKÅL hosted all of us. From the beginning when we first reached out, they were so helpful and patient with us in the process of booking the party and building the perfect menu. We tried everything from cocktails and mead, to the salmon and chicken feast with appetizers in between and it did not disappoint! The presentation of the Viking Feast was the stand out for sure. The experience, overall, was exactly what we were wanting for a fun night with a big group. Would definitely recommend!
Great atmosphere! Highly recommend the mead flight and the giant pretzel. It was also unexpected and cool to find Glögg outside of Scandinavia :)
Great spot. Great food. Loved the atmosphere. Good beer. Lots to love about this place. Parking can be a little tricky on the weekends.
