Specialty's Café & Bakery

I recently visited Specialty’s Cafe & Bakery in San Francisco for a quick breakfast, and I was thoroughly impressed. The cafe features Peet’s Coffee, which makes for a perfect start to the day. I opted for takeout and ordered a Cafe Mocha and the spinach mushroom sandwich, both of which were delicious and fresh. The self-checkout system was incredibly convenient, making the ordering process seamless. The indoor seating area is comfortable, with a great ambiance for both quick stops and longer visits. If you have time, the walk around the bay just outside is absolutely stunning, offering a peaceful escape with beautiful views. A fantastic spot for a quick bite or to linger longer—highly recommend!

updated 2026: We stopped by Specialty's on Friday for breakfast. Too bad they don't have hash browns. We ordered some baked croissants from the kiosk but later found out they were not available. The counter person changed our order to croissant sandwiches instead. We had the smoked ham cheddar $5.95 and egg spinach mushroom croissant $5.25. Both were good. We also had a roast beef sandwich $16.45 and a tuna sandwich $12 to split. My friend said they were the same size as before but i remember them being bigger. We were going to get cookies also but decided we were too full already. Good job everyone at Specialty's. Original review: We were enthusiastic when we found out Specialty's was somehow back in business, in all places, Brisbane?! They are only opened on weekdays so it was a voyage

Food is amazing here! 2 days in a row we ate there and both days the sandwiches were great! Tasty good portion! Also the coffee is great - they have proper Espresso!!! I loved it!

I think I had the best sandwich of my life here. The turkey bacon Brie was filled with sweet caramelized onions and fig jam. The arugula added that slight earthiness to balance out the sweetness and richness of the sandwich. I ended up eating it all.

Tucked away in little corner but great cafe. The sandwiches were delicious. The chickpea salad was great. And the cookies and brownies too good. Definitely stop by. Plenty of parking.
