Springdale Free Public Library

Been there about three or four times. So far so good. Not as good selection as say, Oakmont, Carnegie or Northern, but fair. I wish the person who said "they will put you in jail for library books" would be more detailed about their experience. It does raise an eyebrow, but then again....if you don't return books or DVDs which can actually be somewhat pricey sometimes...well, that's basically stealing, isn't it? I could see a library referring a failure to reimburse for unreturned items or unanswered calls to the police after some time. Why not? Are they just supposed to write it off? As a matter of fact, it was actually more common at one time to refer such things to the police. Then Millennials and their undisciplined children came and lowered the standard for civil conduct. Amazing library! Lots of fun programs, and an excellent place to take your children! There’s a huge variety of books as well! It’s actually quite amazing! I highly recommend!

Polite and helpful staff with a well stocked facility well kept and clean. Also great activities for kids and adults.
